by Dr Acoustat. I have owned a Dual 728 since new (1984). Did buy when the PriceWaterhouse was extremely low because Dual was stopping production. The building quality is average. The tone arm is especially designed for high compliance cartridges. With MC cartridges the bass sound is weak. I prefer mm-cartridges. This gives a more balanced sound.

This is a great turntable. by jurma. Pros: fully automatic pitch control, enhanced mechanics, direct drive, ultralight tonearm. Cons: plastic parts inside are mostly about to brake. To install other cartridge than TK you need to buy and replace headshell and this requires some skills. Platter rocks a bit together with motor spindle.
